The laser performed removal of the hair beneath the skin, was done experimentally for twenty years before it officially entered the market more than ten years ago. For some types of removal procedures, your skin type can help to determine the likelihood that the process will work on you specifically. Now there are several affordable hair removal options for men and women but you might have to adjust your expectations when it comes to the length of time the unwanted hair will actually be removed when considering the cheaper options.

You can easily find a removal practitioner that is willing to offer ear hair removal but when it comes to nose hair removal, you are probably stuck with shorter-term options. The cost for laser treatments vary a lot and your best bet is to shop around and consider the various options available in your local area. For men, part of the problem might be figuring out what options are available, the cost and time involved, pros and cons of each option and related questions that guys want to know the answer to.

Because of the large area that generally gets treated during removal on the chest, several main options are available for men that could offer medium to long term removal with repeated treatments. Waxing can offer short to medium term removal while laser and pulsed light treatment might offer longer term hair removal, usually with repeated treatments. Many athletes opt for a longer term solution for hair removal such as laser removal or light-based treatment that could offer several weeks or months of removal with repeated treatments.

Your skin type is a very important determining factor for the success or lack of success when it comes to laser and pulsed light hair removal treatment. And before you start tweezing consider whether or not you shall choose laser or light hair removal treatment in the near future. An experienced practitioner can tell you to avoid tweezing and using other hair removal options before any laser or light treatment you schedule.

Before exfoliating after removal treatment, you better check with your practitioner to ensure you do not end up irritating your skin. That is important if your skin is already a bit red from the treatment. Nowadays laser treatment is safe and it is usual that the patient’s skin might experience a little redness or pinkness on the targeted hair areas.

Modern laser technology makes it possible to remove unwanted hair from your body parts. A gentle beam of concentrated light on the targeted hair areas passes through your skin to your hair follicles. This technology is now one of the most effective ways of removing hair from the body in a permanent fashion.

Another well established method is electrolysis, which is considered to be a true permanent option. The cost might be too high for you depending on the amount of hair to be treated and the number of visits you may need to remove all your unwanted hair. The electrolysis for man by killing the root, might seem to be ideal, but it is not so dependable and can be expensive. Laser removal is much less expensive than the method of removing hair with electrolysis. Some individuals may only be eligible for electrolysis due to physical and hair characteristics which make laser hair removal very difficult or impossible.

A breast elargement cosmetic surgery is often referred to in many terminologies and may be confusing. For example, some people call it breast augmentation surgery while doctors and surgeons call it mammoplasty surgery, and others may call it breast lift or breast enhancement surgery. Whatever name it is called, breast enlargement surgery is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breast for a number of reasons such as :-

a)To enlarge women’s breast to make them bigger.

b)To correct a reduction in breast volume after giving birth.

c)To balance breast of uneven shapes or sizes.

Plastic cosmetic surgeons are able to increase a woman’s breast by inserting implants into each breast to make the breast look bigger and firmer.

Breast enlargement surgery can enhance the appearance of your breast and can bring you more self confidence which is a boost to your self esteem. Before you decide to have a breast surgery, do carefully consider your expectations, do some basic research and discuss your plans with your plastic surgeon.

The best breast enlargement surgery candidates are ladies looking for improvement, not perfection, in the way their breast look. If you are healthy and realistic about your after surgery expectations, then you may be a good candidate for a breast enlargement cosmetic plastic surgery.

A breast implant is a silicone shell filled with either silicone gel or saline. About concerns that there is inadequate information on the safety of silicone gel-filled breast implants, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that new gel-filled implants should be available only to women participating in approved studies and research. However, saline-filled implants for breast enlargement are mostly unrestricted by legislative law.

As with any surgery and operation, there are health risks involved although they are rare. The most common problem is the capsular contracture. This occurs if the scar or capsule around the implant begins to tighten. The squeezing of the soft implant makes the breast feel hard and look artifical. Capsular contracture can be treated in many ways although sometimes it requires the removal or replacement of the implants.

Excessive bleeding following the operation may cause some swelling and pain. If excessive bleeding continues, another operation may be needed to control the bleeding and remove the blood accumulated from the bleeding.

Some women may develop an infection around an implant although it is uncommon to develop such infections. The infections may occur at any time, but is most often noticed within a week after the breast enlargement surgery is performed. In some rare cases, the implants may need to be removed for a couple of months until the infections clear up and then new implants can be re-inserted.

There are some fears that breast implants may affect fertility, pregnancy, or the ability to nurse babies. However, these fears are unfounded as there are no evidence to substantiate them.

Sometimes, breast implants may leak or even rupture. A rupture can happen as a result of an injury or from the normal compression and movement of your breast and implant, causing it to leak. If a saline-filled implant ruptures, the implant will deflate but the saline water will be harmlessly absorbed by the body.

A rupture of a gel-filled implant may cause some complications and that is why the FDA put restrictions on this type of implants. If the shell breaks but the scar capsule around the implant does not, you may not detect any change in your condition.

If the scar also breaks or tears, the silicone gel may move into surrounding tissues. The gel may collect in the breast and cause a new scar to form around it, or it may migrate to another area of the body. There may be a change in the shape or firmness of the breast.

Both types of broken implants may require the patient to go for another surgery to replace of the damaged breast implant. In some cases, it may not be possible to remove all of the silicone gel in the breast tissue should gel-filled implant ruptures resulting in more complications for the patient concerned.

With the high cost of living, finding ways to save money is on everyone’s mind. We clip coupons for groceries and even dry cleaning, shop at discount and dollar stores and buy generic brands instead of name brands. The savings add up over time, enabling you to do more with your money.

Many people use the savings to go on vacations but they might not be getting the most for their money. People love cruises because they can take you to different destinations for one price. The food is great, the scenery is fabulous and the entertainment sure to please. The problem is that many think they can’t afford what they feel is such an extravagant vacation, so they choose other less expensive and less satisfying ones. There are many sites that offer luxury cruises at discount rates and all you have to do is some research to find the one that’s right for you.

Many of these sites you have probably already heard of such as Travelocity, Expedia, Yahoo and Orbitz. There are also many more. As you explore these other sites, be wary because not all of them are reputable. It’s important to verify the veracity of the site before you give out personal information.

Another alternative way to find great rates is to go directly through the cruise lines themselves. Many offer special rates at different times of the year. Find out if they offer discount rates for last minute bookings. Sometimes people will book a trip and cancel, so they want to fill these vacancies. You might also be able to find this same feature on the online sites that you visit. If you’re planning a last minute getaway, this is the way to book it.

If you are uncomfortable using online sites, afraid to put your personal information on the web, or don’t want to call all of the cruise lines to try to find and book your perfect vacation, you can go to local travel agencies. They are able to do the research for you and make all the arrangements as well. If they’ve been in business on the same corner for years, you can pretty much be sure that they are reputable. Also ask your friends for the names of agencies they might have used, so you will have a personal reference to go by

Yet another alternative is Triple A. They not only offer roadside assistance, but travel arrangements as well and you may be entitled to a discount. Another membership that you might already have that offers travel arrangements is AARP. They have many discount plans that they offer to seniors. These include not just cruises but airline discounts as well.

With just a bit of research, you can be sailing the high seas in no time at all.

Yellowstone is the worlds first national park and one of the largest in the contiguous United States. Sprawling across volcanic plateaus in the northwest corner of Wyoming, Yellowstone contains more than 2 million acres of steaming geysers, crystalline lakes, thundering waterfalls, and panoramic vistas.

Home to a remarkable diversity of mammals, birds and fish, it is one of the worlds foremost sanctuaries. Here every season brings special wonders and each of the parks five regions offers you its own experience.

For convenience purposes, Xanterra divides the park into different regions, or countries. Mammoth Country has fascinating thermal are and is home to elk, bison, and has an abundance of hot springs that have formed travertine terraces.

Geyser Country is home to Old Faithful, the worlds most famous geyser as well as other geysers and fumaroles, mud pots, and hot springs.

Lake Country is the domain of the native cutthroat trout, osprey, bald eagles, moose, bison, and bear which wander the coast of cold Yellowstone Lake.

Canyon Country features the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Hayden Valley and Lowe falls which is almost twice as high as Niagara Falls. This are houses elk, bison, and bear.

Roosevelt Country revisits the Old West, where visitors can see a stage coach forge a stream, deer, bison, or wolves in Lamar Valley.

Xanterra is the company that runs just about everything in the park. If you want to stay at one of the hotels, lodges, or cabins in the park you have to go through them. They also handle all the restaurants, general stores, and all other commercial activity in the park.

We took a Xanterra tour called Yellowstone in a Day. And the tour was well worth it. Not only was the guide very knowledgeable but the tour covered all the highlights on the park. Amazingly it also gave us enough time as each stop to fully see every stop.

The best place to stay when you go to Yellowstone, unless you are camping, is in Gardiner at the North Entrance of the park. You can get picked up for you tour here and it is the most convenient entrance and exit of the park.

We elected to stay in the park one night at the Yellowstone Hotel. While it was nice staying in the park, the hotel is very old and needs a lot of updating. We could actually hear every footstep of the people above us. Needless to say we did not sleep well.

When you leave the park, if you can, you should take the Northeast exit and go over Bear Pass. This road takes you to the main highway but after you go though the mountains and through some very, very beautiful scenery. Taking this road in the winter is not advisable.

The park is open all year round, but in the winter many roads might be closed due to snow.

If you want to see bison/buffalo this is the park to do it. We actually got luck and saw them hanging around the road. At night as we were driving to the hotel, they decided to start crossing the road right in front of us. We had to wait several minutes as they crossed. These huge animals are really scary to see so close up. But it was an awesome adventure.

Old Faithful is also a sight to see. It blows its top every 90 minutes or so. You can check at the visitor center when the next eruption will be. It is kind of like the fountains at Bellagio in Las Vegas but without the music, lights, and the water only goes in one direction.

The Hot Springs are really beautiful to see. And it is amazing to see the animals living in such climates. If you get real lucky you might see a bear or two.

Most of the park is inaccessible to cars since it is mostly forest and mountains.

Everyone in the family will get a kick out of this park.

Going to Walt Disney World Orlando or Disneyland Anaheim is a special occasion. You want to make sure that you make the most of this fantastic opportunity. How can you do that? Follow these tips to make it a fun and memorable experience:

1.	Plan Ahead
There is a lot to see and do on a Walt Disney World vacation and you would do well to read up on all that is on offer. Yes it will probably make your head spin with possibilities but its better to have some idea upfront of what you want to see and experience rather than get overwhelmed on arrival and miss out. One thing you’ll want to decide on is whether you are going to book into one of the Walt Disney World Resorts or another hotel close by. If you want the complete Disney experience then staying at one of the many Walt Disney World Resorts is a good choice.

2.	Allow enough time
While you could see a lot of Disneyland in one day, it isn’t really ideal. You can whip around quickly but if it is likely to be a once in a lifetime visit then you’ll want to savor it all so don’t skimp on time. Try to allow at least two days, if not longer.

3.	Be Prepared
You will do a lot of walking at Walt Disney World so make sure you pack your most comfortable shoes. If you feel you may need spare clothes but don’t want to lug a heavy bag around, you can use one of the lockers provided near the entrance.

4.	Allow for Quiet Time
Disneyland is all about fun and that can mean a full on assault on your senses – lots of noise, heaps to see, and many places demanding your attention. To get through the experience without feeling like you need a week’s sleep to recover, schedule in some down time during the day. If you do, you’ll find you will be able to keep going for longer and will enjoy it more.

5.	Cater for everyone
There are specially decked out toddler rooms and parenting rooms. If you need a break then use these excellent facilities. If you are traveling with a large group or your family has a wide spread of age ranges then make sure that everyone gets a chance to choose what you see and do. You can do this by splitting up and meeting back at an agreed time at one of the many designated meeting points or by each choosing what you will do next.

So do the girl guide/scout thing and get organized. By thinking about what you really want before you get there, you’ll make sure that you don’t leave disappointed that you didn’t manage to do all that you hoped.

The time to pay up for last years holiday has come around again, but you may have came back from holiday only to find that there a few items on your credit statement that you don’t remember paying for.
Here are some tips on the direction you should take if this occurs.
The first thing you should do is to contact your credit card company. If someone has illegally cloned your credit card details, you could find more of the same type of credit card transactions on your next bill.
The next thing you should consider is contacting all the providers of the other credit cards that you took with you on holiday. You should let them know that you think that one or more of your cards has been jeopardized and that you will need to have your accounts checked for abnormal transactions. The simplest way is to let them know when you returned back home from holiday and that any purchases from abroad should be thought of as suspicious.
Tell the credit company to cancel any cards that are thought to have had any suspect transactions performed, and instruct them to send you out new replacement cards. It will usually take a couple of days to receive your new plastic, so in that time you will have to use other arrangements to pay using cheques, cash etc.
The credit card company that you use will investigate any suspicious transactions in part to make sure that you didn’t make any of the purchases and just forgot about it, and they might be capable of plotting out a pattern of transactions from somebody that is traveling from region to region while using your card.
You should ask that your credit company send you out an amended account of your transactions and that they don’t ask you to pay on you disputed credit card bills.
One last thing, you might receive some calls from someone who claims to be from your credit card company, and they want to check you’re newly issued credit cards for security reasons. If they ask for any secure information, don’t let them have it, it could be the criminals calling you, and they know that you have probably been issued with new cards. They do this in an attempt to obtain entry to your new accounts.
Remember; just make sure that you can account for everything on your next bill.

Everybody knows Maui is ‘No Ka Oi’, (the best). There’s no question about it. Maui is number one in so many ways. Maui Rainforests are No Ka Oi for the number and diversity of waterfalls, pools, tropical foliage and accessibility. Maui Restaurants are No Ka Oi for the variety and freshness of fish, the sheer number of award winning chefs and for the very warm service with aloha provided by the best of these establishments. And Maui Beaches are No Ka Oi for length, cleanliness, public access laws and the sheer number from which you can choose.

If you’re a surfer, you will be traveling to Maui’s North and west shores for most of your fun. If you want to dive, to wade, to luxuriate in the hot tropical sun while cool breezes caress you into ecstatic bliss come South my friend. Kihei and Wailea boast some of the best beaches in the world. Some are miles long, like Maui’s Sugar Beach, which is also graced by gestating sea turtles (Honu we call them).

Further South east the Kamaole beaches are mildly crowded but not terribly so. The Kamaole beaches, (especially Kam I and Kam II) provide that hot, hot maui sun and are made up of a very fine sand, perfect for your temporary release from this mortal coil. The waves are not usually too strong and the ocean life is placid. You might even open your eyes to see a Mother Humpback and her calf playing off shore. You’ll almost certainly hear dolphins or whales if you care to dip under the surface.

Lets go further though to Wailea where the beaches boast some of the best snorkeling in the world. A few steps into the water, two shakes of a flipper and your looking directly at hundreds, sometimes thousands of multicolored denizens of the shallows. There is not one thing to compare this moving menagerie too and it will return in your dreams, have no doubt.

One more step, a few miles more and we reach the world famous Makena beach. This beach is one of the broadest on Maui and it is spectacular. The view from Makena of La Perouse bay on the South side with long jutting fingers of lava to Kahoolawe standing stark across the sea and wee molokini popping out of the waves to rest in the North on the Massive Makena Hill, rising majestically and quite steeply right next to you. You can climb this Pu’u (cinder cone) for an even more majestic and breathtaking view.

A slice of No Ka OI – Makena Beach, Maui Hawaii

Makena, the beach of those who know. Get your cooler filled in town, bring lots of sunscreen, a frisbee, paddle balls and a big blanket. Your here for the day. It will ease your soul and tire your body. You’ll retire tonight to one of the best sleeps you’ve had in years. Playing in the hot sun , strong waves and beachwalking take it out of you. Call back to the condo and have your margarita ready and very chilled for your return.

It is very important to bring plenty of water wherever you go on maui and to take your trash back with you so the next people can see the same glorious sights as you. Thanks for your kokua (unselfish helping). And now, you are No Ka Oi too.

We all look forward to seeing you.

1. Safari adventure; Animal safari Packages

Safari adventure holiday experience is touted to be the most comprehensive in Africa. It is the only country that you will experience 3 distinct climatic conditions namely, Coastal Humid, cool highland and dry desert. The Safari adventure package attractions here also range from the

(1) White sands beaches, Kenyan safari package,
(2) Wildlife park Safari adventure package,
(3) The scenery of the Great Rift Valley package,
(4) The green plantations of the highlands package,
(5) The cradle of mankind archeological sites package,
(6) Rich cultural package,
(7) Climbing of show-capped Mount Kenya safaris package among others.

Kenya has managed to maintain its wildlife in natural areas in National Wildlife Parks and wildlife Reserves. The big five wildlife including Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo are all found in these parks including the small wildlife.

Among the best Safari adventure include the indomitable
(1) Maasai Mara camping Safari adventure
(2) Nakuru camping Safari adventure
(3) Aberdares camping Safari adventure
(4) Tsavo camping Safari adventure (11,000 kms equal in size to Israel)
(5) Samburu camping Safari adventure
(6) Amboseli Safari adventure – Among other 57 Wildlife Parks and Reserves.

Nairobi National Wildlife Park is the only park located within a capital city in the world. Lions, Zebras, gnus, Leopards, Rhino, Buffalo are 5 minutes from the Central Business District.

2. Lion and Wildebeest Migration safari Masai Mara

The single most popular wildlife spectacle in Safari adventure is the annual wildebeest migration to and from Serengeti into the Maasai Mara. The wildebeest migration is such a phenomenon it involves movement of over 2.5 million animals crossing plains and rivers. The huge migration is such that satellites in space pick it up as a fluid moving mass of black trail. The Maasai Mara lodges are usually overbooked and full in the migration months of July-Oct.

3. Lion and Oryx Camping Safari Tour

Some years back a story extra ordinaire caught the attention of international media. This was the story of an old lioness called ‘Namunyak’ in Samburu National Reserve. The lioness had formed a bizarre habit of adopting 6 young Oryx for days on end. The lioness was so protective of its adoptee(s) that she couldn’t go to hunt for fear of her being killed by the males of her pride.

This made her loose a lot of weight but still held on strong. On six different occasions the lioness adopted an Oryx calf one after the other despite being frustrated by the male lions and disposition by the rangers. Namugaki is still out there in the wild while the 6th adoptee was rescued by the Kenya Wildlife Service Rangers and can now be seen mature at the Nairobi orphanage.

4. Mzee (Old man) the Tortoise & Owen the Hippo

Haller Park is the former world reclaimed Bamburi Nature Trail at the coast. Reclaimed from cement Quarries of Bamburi Cement Factory the park has been fully rehabilitated with Casuarina trees and stocked as a zoo with giraffes, hippo gazelles Oryx, Eland, fish, snakes, etc.

A very recent and ongoing development at Haller Park has been the extra ordinary friendship between 100yr plus tortoise and a young 2 year old hippo. While Mzee the Tortoise has seen it all unfold at Bamburi, Owen the baby hippo was orphaned after separation from the mother during the tsunami. Now, the story is said that Owen started to spend time with Mzee upon arrival at the Park. This bond has now developed such that the two, feed, sleep and walk together. They are inseparable and Owen is especially aggressive to any intruders.

Other stories always emerge of unique unions between different wildlife species in Kenya including one between a lone buffalo and a murderous black Rhino in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. It all goes to show how free ranging animals take their entitled liberties.

Wildlife viewing in the Mara is done in 8 seater Mini vans and land cruiser trucks. The Mara is so beaming with wildlife that you can almost touch an elephant feeding one meter off the road (Don’t try this at park). And that is right from the gate. Balloon tours are the most satisfying way to view the gazillions of wildlife and especially the big five. Balloon tours are booked on demand from Nairobi.

5. Tour Kenya: Beach Camping Safari Tour

Nothing beats a coastal holiday safari package like ones experience in Mombassa Safari adventure and beach tour. This is especially good for visitors in need of lazing around in the tropical coast sure for a tan and swim. Other water sports available along the beaches include (1) Water/wind skiing, (2) Surfing, (3) Deep sea fishing, (4) Scuba diving, (5) Swimming with dolphins, (6) Jet skiing, (7) Coral garden snorkeling, (8) Glass-bottomed boat rides into marine parks,(9) sport fishing (10) kayaking, (11) Hobie skiffs, jet skiing and dhow boating etc

The accommodation facilities along Mombasa beaches range from 4-5 star deluxe with top of the range international service standards. You can make your choice between Mombasa beach cottages, lodges, hotel and eco-camps.

6. Kenya Sport Tours and safaris

Kenya is globally recognized for its world class, record breaking athletes. Our success in International athletic gains is attributed to high attitude training. World standard high altitude camps have now been started and cater for athletes looking to improve performance.

In addition, there is now a national calendar of Marathons events that athletes can test their performance i.e. Nairobi Marathon, Lewa Marathon among others. Lewa Marathon is especially unique as it takes place in the middle of a game community reserve.

The runners compete in the middle of Lions, Buffalo, Zebra, giraffe etc. It is a world famous event that attracts international participation. Other sparking activities in a National park, popular with visitors, include Deep Sea sport fishing and the Coastal annual Regatta

Damages to Your Wallet

Lodge based Safari adventure average between USD 250 to USD 400 depending on the luxury sought.

Camping on the other hand enables you to sample the real Safari adventure wilderness tour and freshness of nature. Camping incentive safaris depend on the group number and the larger the number, the lower the cost.

An average of 4 travelers pays between USD 100-120 per day per person for any number of days package. Larger groups can get rates of USD 80-95 per day per person through incentive camping safaris. The Deal doesn’t get any better! Enjoy!

One of the highlights of a holiday abroad is the opportunity to stock up on items such as cigarettes, alcohol and perfume – collectively known as “duty free” goods. Duty free items have no state, local or provincial taxes, federal import duties, or any other type of taxation added to the cost of the item that you are buying – which makes them cheaper. Sometimes certain items can be considerably cheaper and we can be tempted to stock up but there are restrictions in place governing just how many duty free items we can bring back from our holidays.

Travelling back from outside the EU

When travelling from a non-EU country (including the Canary Islands, the Channel islands and Gibraltar) you can bring the following into the UK for your own use without paying UK tax or duty:

- 200 cigarettes; or 100 cigarillos; or 50 cigars; or 250g of tobacco
- 60cc of perfume
- 2 litres of still table wine
- 250cc of eau de toilette
- 1 litre of spirits or strong liqueurs over 22 per cent volume; or 2 litres of fortified wine, sparkling wine or other liqueurs *such as port or sherry and
- 145 pounds worth of all other goods including gifts and souvenirs

If you have any more than these allowances you must declare the goods in the red channel or use the red point phone on your return to the UK. If you do not, you are breaking the law and you may be prosecuted.

In addition:

- If you are under 17 you cannot have the tobacco and alcohol allowances
- You are entitled to these allowances only if you travel with the goods and do not sell them
- If you bring in something worth more than the limit of 145 pounds, you must pay charges on the full value, not just the value above 145 pounds
- You and anyone you are travelling with cannot pool your individual allowances to bring in an item worth more than the limit. You will have to pay charges on the full value of the item
- If you are bringing back any duty-free or tax-free goods you bought when you left the UK, these count as part of your allowance

Travelling back from inside the EU

If you bring in goods on which tax has been paid in an EU country, you do not have to pay any tax or duty on them in the UK. However any alcohol or tobacco you bring in must be for your own use and transported by you.

Own use includes goods for your own consumption and gifts. If you bring in goods for resale, or for any payment, even payment kind, they are regarded as being for a commercial purpose.

The EU Countries are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, The Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (but not the Canary Islands), Sweden, The UK (but not the Channel Islands).

Though the whole of Cyprus is part of the EU, goods from any area of Cyprus not under effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus are treated as non-EU imports.

Although Gibraltar is part of the EU, it is outside the Community Customs territory. The Customs allowances for outside the EU therefore apply.

There are special rules for cigarettes and some tobacco products from some EU countries. If you are bringing in alcohol or tobacco goods and Customs officers have reason to suspect they may be for a commercial purpose, a Customs officer may ask you questions and make checks, for example about:

- the type and quantity of goods you have bought
- why you bought them
- how you paid for them
- whether all your goods are openly displayed or concealed
- how often you travel
- how much you normally smoke or drink or
- any other relevant circumstances

You are particularly likely to be asked questions if you have more than:

- 3200 cigarettes
- 200 cigars
- 400 cigarillos
- 3kg tobacco
- 110 litres of beer
- 90 litres of wine
- 10 litres of spirits
- 20 litres of fortified wine (such as port or sherry)

The officer will take into account all the factors of the situation and your explanation.

If they are satisfied that the goods are for a commercial purpose they may seize them and any vehicle used to transport them, and may not return them to you.

If you are caught selling alcohol or tobacco goods they may be seized, and for a serious offence you could get up to seven years in prison.

The country where you buy tobacco goods may have its own laws on how much you can buy or have in your possession, and what documents you need. If in doubt, check with that country’s authorities before you buy.

If you let a coach, ferry or aircraft store your goods while travelling back to the UK you must make sure when you arrive in the UK that you collect the exact goods you bought.

From some EU countries there are limits on the amount of tobacco products you can bring back without paying UK duty.

From CZECH REPUBLIC – 200 cigarettes or 250g of smoking tobacco or 50 cigars or 100 cigarillos

From ESTONIA – 200 cigarettes or 250g of smoking tobacco*

From HUNGARY, LATVIA, LITHUANIA, POLAND, SLOVAKIA OR SLOVENIA – 200 cigarettes*

*No limit on other tobacco products as long as they are for your own use.

If you have tobacco products over these limits you should speak to a Customs officer in the red channel or on the red point phone.

The city Edinburgh is easily accessible by road, plane boat or train. Getting around in Edinburgh is just as easy. The local bus services makes all areas accessible.

The city is basically split into two main districts the Old Town and the New Town with Princes Street Gardens separating them.

The Old Town is the largely medieval heart of Edinburgh in which most of its important historical monuments can be found including Edinburgh Castle.

The New Town more a celebration of business order and classical Georgian architecture. This is the terrain of the shops offices and banks. Princes Street just below George Street is the main shopping area of Edinburgh and the most famous part of the New Town. A very busy spot its views of the Castle and proximity to the park happily make up for the crowds of shoppers.

Princes Street Gardens fill the valley between Old Town and New Town with Princes Street itself lining the northern side. In Princes Street Park you never escape the atmospheric sound of the bagpipes though you can escape the hustle and bustle of Princes Street itself.

The city Edinburgh has a year round programme of festivals and events ranging from the world famous summer festivals to the worlds biggest New Year street party.

In Edinburgh the world ranking museums and galleries tell the story of a fascinating past mixed with contemporary exhibitions. Choose from national collections and international blockbusters to more intimate spaces and exhibits.

The city of Edinburgh has a Playhouse with a colourful history. It was designed by Glasgow architect John Fairweather as a variety theatre it was largely modelled on the Roxy Theatre in New York but caught up in the new craze sweeping the country, it opened as a cinema on August 1929 with the talkie The Doctors Secret. Owned by the MacGuire family it remained a cinema for 40 years until it fell victim to the cinema slump in 1973. Tender for demolition were invited by advertisement and a Save the Playhouse group was set up who collected a number of signatures against the closure.

In 1974 the Playhouse was given listed building status. In 1975 the Edinburgh Playhouse Society was formed. A second petition brought a further number of signatures, helping tremendously in saving the building. Over the next twelve years the theatre changed hands five times. Until Apollo Leisure took over ownership in December 1985.

In 1993 a major refurbishment was undertaken and The Edinburgh Playhouse was returned to its former glory soon becoming one of the most successful theatres in Britain.
